What makes a workflow a fit for decision automation?
Decision automation is most relevant when an operation combines business rules, calculations, multiple data sources, human review, and requirements for traceability or auditability.
The test is whether each item ends in a decision someone could write down as policy. Moving a record from one app to another has no decision in it; a task automation tool does that for less. Approving, pricing or routing an application against a grid does, and so does deciding which cases a person must review.
How decision automation works explains the parts — rules, calculations, AI steps and approvals — and the use cases show operations built from them, in lending and beyond.
